I believe there are opportunities we come across everyday where we can help another and it’s my responsibility to be attentive to how I can make a difference whether it’s here in the Spokane community or across the world. 

With the growing demands Feed Spokane presented, I began in the summer of 2018 to help my husband, Steven Brashears, with administration projects that needed attention. This included creating contact lists for donors and food rescuers, coordinating volunteers for food pickup and my most recent project is starting a monthly newsletter.  

I have been in sales and marketing for the past 18 years and I find it refreshing to use my abilities to create more public awareness as to the need to fight food insecurity while eliminating food waste. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities, spending time with family, church choir, quilting and dog sitting.
