Rescuing food to fight hunger since 2005

Feed Spokane saves quality food from being thrown away and gets it to people who need it most.

We work with restaurants, grocery stores, and local farmers to collect the food. Then, we share it with food pantries and organizations that help children, families, and seniors.

By doing this, we reduce food waste AND fight food insecurity.

Our Mission

Safely rescuing quality food to feed Spokane’s hungry by nurturing sustainable community networks and charitable partnerships while eliminating food waste.

What We Do

Feed Spokane collects food that would otherwise be thrown away from 132 local restaurants, caterers, hotels, grocers, wholesalers, and farmers. We rescued over ONE MILLION meals in 2023 and are on track for the same success in 2024…we could use your help!

You can get involved

Join our team of volunteers! We need help every day of the week – sorting and distributing food, driving vans, moving pallets, keeping the place clean, and lots more! We have flexible opportunities that can fit into your busy schedule.

Spread the Word

Feed Spokane is only able to rescue about 10% of the good food that is still being wasted. That means that 90% of good food that could be rescued and given to our food-insecure neighbors is still being thrown away. You can help!

Please follow us and share our posts on social media, it would help spread the word.
